The UTS of pure iron is between 15 and 24 tons per square inch (230-370N/mm2) which is similar to that of new high-grade wrought iron.  There is little difference between the two materials other than the fact that pure iron does not contain any slag or laminations and has superior corrosion resistance.

The following represents a typical analysis of our pure iron.

Carbon .004 Silicon .001
Manganese .04 Phosphorous .004
Sulphur .007 Aluminium .001
Arsenic .002 Boron .0001
Nitrogen .006 Niobium .001
Tin .001 Titanium .001
Vanadium .001 Lead .002
Bismuth .001 Calcium .0002
Tellurium .001 Hydrogen 1.1 ppm
